Reading FC Women's Team
The senior women's team was established in 2005 and started playing competitively in the Southern Region League. For the 2010-11 season, the women's team competed for the first time in the FA Women's Premier League, finishing the season in third place. On 4th April 2011, Reading FC Women's team beat Milton Keynes Dons by 3-0 to lift and retain the Berks and Bucks County Trophy. The women's team play their home games at Tadley Calleva FC's Barlow Park in Hampshire.Most home games take place on Sunday with a 2.00pm kick off. The next home game is scheduled for 18th March vs Watford LFC. In the meantime, the women's team are involved in two cup competitions with away games on 19th February vs Woodley Town (County Cup) and 11th March vs Plymouth Argyle (League Cup). In addition, there is a 4th round FA Cup tie on 26th February.
The senior team has a squad of 42 players (of whom 4 are internationals) with a support and coaching staff of 6. In addition, there are 17 players in the Reading FC Girls Academy and in total there are 60 players across 4 age groups in the Girls Centre of Excellence.
The Vice Presidents Club are proud sponsors of the women's team and provide training kit, vitamins and health supplements through their fund raising efforts. The present womens team is the most succcessful squad to date having achieved a record number of match wins this season against more established womens teams.For the latest women's team news and results please click here
